Science Is All Around Us

Hello and welcome to my introduction page.  I am excited to start and enjoy my first full year at Northside Middle School, the home of the Cougars and Cougar Pride!!  I have been teaching science for 23 years, with the last 11 years being with Lexington 2.  I have taught high school science for 22 1/2 years, until I joined the Cougar family in January. I really enjoyed teaching 6th grade last year and when I was asked to return, I gladly accepted.  I am excited to welcome in a new group of 6th grade students and hopefully help them enjoy a fun and informational year.

I was in the Army for 6 years and then got out, but my husband is still in the Army National Guard and is currently serving his 38th year.  We were blessed with 3 children.  Our son, Christopher, is happily married to Amanda.  They have 3 beautiful children Kaelyn 14, Nathan 8, and Riley 3.  My daughter, Cassandra, is happily married to Christopher (yes it can be confusing).  They have 4 beautiful children Summer 21, Chase 10, Aubrey 8, and Harper 1. Unfortunately, our youngest, Charles has passed away. Overall we have been blessed with 7 beautiful, fun loving grandkids that I am very proud to talk about whenever I have the chance.  I also have 1 great grandson Wesley.  He and his mom, Summer, live in Utah.
