Registration and Orientation Information

Orientation (6th Grade only)
We invite all rising 6th graders to join us on Wednesday, August 4, from 9:00-11:00 am at Northside Middle for an Orientation session. The session will begin at 9:00 am with parents and students meeting in the NMS gym for an official welcome to Northside. Students will then break off into groups with 6th grade teachers to tour the campus and learn more about what to expect in middle school. Students will be back in the gym at 10:45 am for closing remarks and parent pick-up. While students are with the 6th Grade teachers, parents are welcome to stay on campus to complete registration activities and attend parent information sessions. Parents also have the option of dropping off students at the gym and coming back at 10:45 am for pick-up. Please let us know if your child will be in attendance by submitting this form:

Registration and Schedule Pick Up (All Grades)
Registration and Schedule Pick Up for all grades will be held on Wednesday, August 4, from 9:00-11:00 am and 12:00-3:00 pm in the Cafeteria. Register is ongoing, and we encourage parents to register students before this date. If you completed the registration process before July 20, you'll receive a “Fast Pass” in the mail that will allow you to go straight to the Fee Station and Schedule Pick-Up table. If you complete the registration process before July 29, come by the NMS office to pick up a Fast Pass by the end of the day on Monday, August 2. Beginning on Thursday, August 4, the Main Office will be open for Registration and Schedule Pick Up from 8:00-4:00 pm daily through the start of school.
Registration is a two-step process that can be completed online by 1) submitting an online registration form and 2) providing of two proofs of residency. To access the online registration, log into your Parent Portal account ( and select "Returning Student."  Acceptable documents for the required two proofs of residency are listed below. These can be brought in person to Northside, sent by email to or faxed to (803)739-3188. Our summer office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm. 

Proof of Residency - You must have one from each category. 
Category A
- Tax receipt showing that both property and dwelling are in Lexington School District Two
- Mortgage receipt or bill
- Rental or lease agreement or a notarized letter from the landlord

Category B
 (must show current information/date)
- Cable television bill
- Telephone bill 
- Gas/electric bill
- Water/sewer bill
- Official federal government documents 
Please note: If you live with someone else and everything is in that person's name, contact Student Services at or call (803)739-3141 for an appointment. In your email, please state that you live with someone else. Student Services will contact you to complete a Statement of Residency.
