Principal's Message

Welcome to a new school year, and thank you for visiting our website. I am deeply honored to serve as your principal.
Over the past year, I have seen so many wonderful examples of support in this true community school.  When people say, “I’m from West Columbia,” there is such pride. It’s a special community, and that’s a big part of what makes Northside Middle such a special school.  Our mission is simple; we want to inspire and support your child to offer his or her personal best each and every day.
The culture of a school plays a tremendous part in defining the success of its students.  Providing great instruction is not enough for us. We want to offer both adults and students a happy and positive place to learn, a place that others want to be a part of.  We welcome your feedback in our continuous improvement journey.  Every year we want to be even better than the year before.
Middle school can be a tough transition for both children and parents, as students become young adults.  We are excited to work together for these three years. Together, we can ensure that all Northside students are confident and ready for high school.
