Back to School Information

Welcome back for the 2020-2021 school year! Below are Frequently Asked Questions about the start of school next week.

What time can I drop off my child?
The school building opens at 7:15 am. Students will report to the gym to wait for breakfast or homeroom.

When will my child be dismissed at the end of the day?
We will begin afternoon dismissal at 3:00 pm. Any students still at the carpool line at 3:45 pm will be taken to after care with the Boys & Girls Club in the cafeteria. Car riders should be picked up at the side of the building in the carpool line.

My child is a car rider. Where should I drop him/her off?
All students who are car riders should be dropped off on the side of the building in the carpool line, which faces Riverbank Elementary School. Students may not be dropped in front of the school. This area is reserved for buses. Follow the traffic pattern on Cougar Drive past Riverbank Elementary, loop around at the park and turn right into the carpool entrance. Your child may exit your car from the right side of the vehicle once your car reaches the side walk. Students will enter the building at the glass doors towards the front of the car loop area. You will not be able to turn left into the carpool line from Cougar Drive.

Who do I contact if there is an error in my child's schedule?
Please email Anna Unversaw (haunversaw@lex2.org) with your child's name and brief description of the error. She will quickly address it.

How does Remote Learning work?
For students in the Hybrid Program (two days at school, three days at home), students will be "Remote Learning" on the days they are at home. Read the publication on the right - "Student Expectations for Remote Learning Days" - for information on what your child should be doing while at home. There is NOT a specific login time for Hybrid Students on Remote Learning days. However, the completion of work on the Remote Learning days impacts your child's attendance.
