WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Free mobile hot spots for qualifying students are available through the SC Department of Education, in coordination with the SC Office of Regulatory Staff.
Eligibility will be determined using the following guidelines:
- At least one child in the home is enrolled as a student in Lexington School District 2.
- Permanent wireless access is not available in the home. Cellular phone hot spots are not considered permanent.
- The gross household income must be at or below the income levels shown in the attached chart at the bottom of this story. (Proof of income may be requested.)
Only one Hot Spot per address is allowed. If more that one student lives at the same address, only one survey should be completed.
