Free meals for students extended through December 31

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Lexington Two’s students -- whether in the full-time Virtual Academy or hybrid model -- will receive free meals at school and by curbside pickup, through December 31, 2020, after the USDA extended its summer meals program amid COVID-19.

Hybrid students will be able to receive free breakfast and lunch while at school during their assigned in-person days.

Students also will be able to take home meals as they are dismissed at the end of the school day as follows:

For students who attend in-person classes on Monday/Thursday -- On Monday, students will receive breakfast and lunch for Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday,

students will take home breakfast and lunch for Friday.

For students who attend in-person classes on Tuesday/Friday -- On Tuesday, students will receive breakfast and lunch for Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, students will take home a breakfast and lunch for Monday.

Orders for free meals must be placed in advance on the PayPams website, so food services will know how many meals to prepare for each family.

Curbside pickup of pre-ordered meals will be offered two days a week -- Monday and Thursday only -- from 11am-12pm at four Lexington Two schools: Cayce Elementary, Riverbank Elementary, Pine Ridge Middle and Airport High.  You do not have to be a student at the school to pick up your meals at that location.
