Students will be taking the winter STAR Math and STAR Reading assessments on Thursday December 7 (Math) and Thursday December 14 (Reading). The purpose of these assessments are to measure academic growth through the school year. The STAR assessments are relatively short (less than 30 minutes each) and do not require studying or preparations at home. The data from the assessments will help teachers identify areas where your child may need additional support. Please encourage your child to get a good night's sleep the evening before and to eat breakfast in the mornings prior to testing. Additionally, make sure your child brings his or her iPad to school with at least an 80% charge. All testing is conducted on iPads.
