All About Me
Hello! My name is Mr. Scott, but I go by Mr. J! I am excited to share a little bit about myself. I am a dedicated special education teacher Assistant with a passion for helping every student reach their fullest potential. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that all students can learn when given the right tools, encouragement, and opportunities to shine.
I am currently earning my degree in Special Education from GCU and will have specialized training in individualized instruction, differentiated learning strategies, and behavior support. Over the years, I have worked with students of varying abilities, from those needing mild support to those requiring more intensive services.
What I love most about teaching special education is building strong, trusting relationships with my students and their families. I enjoy creating a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, and engaging where differences are celebrated and learning is fun. Seeing a student master a new skill or gain confidence in themselves is truly the highlight of my work.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, traveling, spending time with family, or creative projects. I believe these personal passions help me bring creativity and balance into my teaching.
I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and advocate for my students every day. I am proud to be part of a profession that makes such a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
