About Me

Hi there! My name is Lauren Steyne and this is my second year teaching 6th grade ELA.

 

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of South Carolina Honors College. I worked with Kindergarten-5th grade students at an afterschool for five years and also had some experience in social work before deciding I wanted to pursue teaching. 

 

I live in Columbia with my husband and our two dogs, Roo and Pearl. I have a passion for reading, exercise, and cooking. We also love cheering on the Gamecocks at home games.
