6th Grade Supply List

New School Vaccination Requirements for 6th Graders

There is a new school requirement from the South Carolina Code of Laws. Sixth graders must have three (3) doses of oral and/or activated polio vaccine with at least one (1) does received on or after the fourth birthday. Please bring an updated immunization record for your child to registration.

ALL Lexington School District Two students are required to provide (2) proofs of residency for the 2018-2019 school year.

Grades will be updated weekly, on or before Friday, in all classes. Please check Parent/Student Portal in PowerSchool regularly for information on your child's academic progress. Additionally, you can find out details about assignments and upcoming due dates through Google Classroom, which is accessible through individual teacher pages.

End of Course Examinations for Algebra I, English I and French I

The End of Course Examination Program (EOCEP) is a statewide assessment program of end of course tests for gateway courses awarded units of credit in English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The EOCEP encourages instruction in the specific academic standards for the courses, encourages student achievement, and documents the level of students’ mastery of the academic standards.

The SCREADY and SCPASS tests begin the week of May 7 and run through May 16.

All students take SCREADY for math and ELA. Students in 6th and 8th grades take SCPASS for science, and students in 7th grade take SCPASS for social studies.

STAR Testing

Students will be taking the spring STAR Math and STAR Reading assessments on Tuesday, April 10 (Math) and Tuesday, April 17 (Reading). The purpose of these assessments are to measure academic growth through the school year. Please encourage your child to get a good night's sleep the evening before and to eat breakfast in the mornings prior to testing. Additionally, make sure your child brings his or her iPad to school with at least an 80% charge. All testing is conducted on iPads.
